I grew up with hearing loss in both ears and had a teacher consultant guide me through mainstream classes with improvisations on my speech and vocabulary. My skills come from loving art. As a child, I loved to draw and paint all kinds of objects, including constructing the best artwork, in arts & crafts but had no thought of a fashion design future . Years later in 2012, I elaborated on that passion by starting Vintage Ties by Jaiden (VTJ), a concept that involves making bow ties and neckties from vintage/recycled fabrics. Since then, I've been featured in over 70 fashion shows, created hundreds of different bow tie designs, published in several magazines, featured on local news, showcased at New York Fashion Week in 3 seasons, and more.
