Mom of three young adults on the autism spectrum Networking with others to help others help themselves More Info
Making a difference in the community for people with disabilities Fourth Saturday in October annually is national make a difference day. Www.makeadifferenceday.com this is when we do that extra push to do what we do every day! An opportunity for one of 10 $10,000 grants! With donations from eBay sellers to our autism foundation, we have been able to sponsor free special needs times at sky zone trampoline park in our local area. With more participation, we could easily expand to more locations!
Inspiration behind Sharonsweb autism foundation Our three children! We do what we need to do for them and then add others to the mix! Filling the gap. I've been selling on eBay for more than 18 years and added the foundation as a charity seller about 10 years ago.
Who can benefit from Sharonsweb autism foundation
- EBay sellers: Just a tax deductible 10% donation puts items on our eBay for charity website which is shared on social media. Currently we have over 12,000 Twitter followers who are mostly other eBay sellers or special needs groups. Although we can't guarantee sales, we can guarantee that items will be seen!
- Businesses: We have sellers who are adults on the autism spectrum. Businesses can donate items and our sellers can list them on eBay. We also participate in other charities fundraiser events by donating baskets for raffle or auction. A lot of networking.
- Other charities: We love networking for a cause! We can help you with your fundraisers.
- Special needs. We attend other events and create our own for fitness and social geared towards teens and adults although all are always welcome! We try to pair up people by interest and ability to help each other. Job opportunities and training in sales, marketing, companions etc.
Our message Our current and most important project is finding opportunities for our nonverbal teenagers. See our website as our children are always growing in the needs are always changing. Network with us to help others help themselves!
