Music Without Barriers is a not-for-profit music & media production company helping Artists with disability make great music and smash barriers.
The Problem With The World Today:
Too many individuals have been told that they can never make music. That they are too different. That the barriers are too great. That music, the way it’s made today, is just not for them.
We Believe:
We live in a world where it’s possible for anyone to make music. Music is a universal language and should be universally inclusive.
There is an untapped creative potential and capacity inside Artists with disability - given the right tools these Artists can smash barriers and create something phenomenal. We believe the world needs to hear their music and their stories. More Info

Making a difference in the community for people with disabilities Music Without Barriers facilitates recording sessions for Artists with disability that brings together:

The right people (musicians, producers, technologists)
The right technologies (software, hardware)
The right techniques (vocal coaching, training)
In the right environment (mobile recording, studio)

The result is a professional-quality, socially integrative music-making experience that is otherwise inaccessible. We help our Artists develop & grow, and tell their stories to the world to inspire others to smash barriers.

Inspiration behind Music Without Barriers Our organization began when co-founder Adrian Moody met a family whose child was diagnosed with non-verbal Cerebral palsy. Working together with the child's poetry, his communication assistance device, and emerging music studio software, they made a song with Joeys own voice singing. This song became available on iTunes and began the organization that today makes more of these stories a reality.

Who can benefit from Music Without Barriers Anyone and everyone can benefit from Music Without Barriers. Music's ability to heal, speak, reflect, and send messages is both inherently understood by all and, in the case of therapy, has measurable, empirical value. Music Without Barriers' projects are focused on helping individuals with disability. However, we bring in people with all abilities to build an inclusive experience that benefits a larger community.
