Making a difference in the community for people with disabilities Zebedee is not only making a difference to the worldwide disabled community through our work to increase disabled representation in all forms of the media, but we also have our own community of over 500 disabled, visibly different, transgender and non-binary people. We work hard to ensure the disabled community as a whole benefits from our work, and we also ensure our own Zebedee community is cared for.

Inspiration behind Zebedee Our Co-founders and directors were walking on the beach one day and decided they had had enough of the lack of disability representation in the media. As Laura was a mental health social worker and Zoe was a part-time plus size model, part-time disability arts teacher, they knew that the disabled community needed more. Quickly, they realised that 20% of the world's population are disabled, yet less than 1% of the media represents them. This sparked the idea for Zebedee Talent, where we exclusively and sensitively represent disabled, visibly different, transgender and non binary people.

Who can benefit from Zebedee Anyone who identifies as disabled, visibly different, transgender or non binary is eligible to apply to Zebedee. We are set up in the UK, US, Australia and various spots around Europe. We are always open to representing talent outside of those countries though. COVID-19 has also changed the way casting is made in the media, and it has prompted us to sign entire families or 'bubbles', which are more COVID safe on location jobs.

Our message Having a disability or visible difference or being transgender or non binary does not make you any less worthy of being seen in the media. You are talented, you are beautiful, you are different and you are irreplaceable. We want you to celebrate the victories we have, as it sends the message that Zebedee are all about- THE INCLUSION REVOLUTION.
