Making a difference in the community for people with disabilities Rhythm Works Integrative Dance provides an eye-opening education for dance teachers who wish to become more inclusive and provide specialized and customized participation opportunities for people with mild to profound challenges. Our certified instructors are able to work confidently and effectively with each participant's developmental team to incorporate elements of therapeutic goals into dance class. Most classes are hip hop based, but some offer other styles of dance. RWID also trains school teachers and therapists to effectively use dance as a modality to assist in achieving developmental milestones.
Inspiration behind Rhythm Works Integrative Dance After almost losing my (Tricia Gomez) life in a mid-term stillbirth, I understood that I was left back for a reason. Rhythm Works Integrative Dance became that reason and my purpose to serve a community that is often left out due to society's lack of knowledge and understanding. Increasing opportunities for the special needs community starts with educating the people who will provide those opportunities. As a life-long dancer, I saw the benefits of dance on a daily basis and knew that it was a much-needed service in the SN community. That benefit is magnified in our Rhythm Works Integrative Dance classes around the world every day! To see how our classes are impacting the students and their families is the most rewarding thing I've done!
Who can benefit from Rhythm Works Integrative Dance Our core mission is to educate and certify dance teachers, school teachers and therapists around the world. The certified instructors provide customized group classes and individual sessions for kids as young as age 3 through adults/seniors. Everyone benefits!
