Making a difference in the community for people with disabilities Our aim is to foster independence and employability among adults with special needs through skill training programs. We envision a future in which every young adult with special needs is empowered to lead a happy and productive life. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of adults with special needs by providing holistic skills training including vocational support, physical well-being support, social skills training, and parental training.
Supported Employment Program: This program is for the individual’s who's ability is on the severe end of the spectrum, he / she may not be able to be mainstreamed, but still has the opportunity to earn a living. The program exposes students to a range of concepts, vocabulary, and jobs, related to different vocations. After completing the training the adults are supported with jobs that can be executed from home like Orders from local businesses, Assembly line jobs, Corporate gifts and wedding orders.
Mainstream Employment Program: The Mainstream Employment Program provides training, and support to people with special needs, to gain sustainable employment This program is designed to integrate communication skills along with hands-on job specific skill training in areas like Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Service, Clerical and Labelling and Packaging. Available positions are matched to the skills of the individual, and the needs of the employer. Our employment process begins with an assessment of the available employment opportunities in the community that match the student’s skill set. After this we provide on the job training, and intervention if needed.

Inspiration behind Mann Individuals with special needs lack access to vocational and employment opportunities because of denial and lack or awareness about their disability. They have limited opportunities for social inclusion and individual development which leads to them having poor quality of life, higher dependence on caregivers and an extremely low employability rate. Thus Beverly, Geetanjali and Dilshad got acquainted when training to be special educators, after which they began a weekend hobby classes for people with disabilities. In order to regularise the class they merged strengths with Gautam Lalwani - a union which led to the birth of Mann as we know it today. From a humble beginning of 25 students and 5 staff members, Mann has grown to a capacity of 120 students and 25 staff members.

Who can benefit from Mann Adults and adolescents with Intellectual Disability, Autism and Multiple Disability above 15 years of age.

Our message Global trends indicate that almost 1 - 3 per cent of the world population have certain development disabilities. For centuries, these individuals were viewed by society with fear and pity, were termed as dependent outcasts, that required public care, rendered by separate institutions, built away from civilization and a segregated style of living was adopted. The apathy of the society has deprived these individuals of basic opportunities, even today. Mann believes that they have the right to stand on their own feet, make decisions and choices for themselves and live in harmony with society.
