A remarkable tale of a legendary dyslexic entrepreneur and inventor of Twister and Nerf

Reyn’s exceptional creative ideas and innovative spirit has aided him to invent and develop some of the most popular games and toys like Twister and Nerf ball. These inventions have indeed changed the course of the gaming industry. For his contributions to the industry, Reyn was inducted into the Hasbro toy and game Inventors' Hall of Fame. His constant efforts to come up with new and brilliant concepts are evident in the various fields outside the toy industry. Reyn co-founded Winsor Learning to help children who struggle to read, founded the music publishing company Wrensong and has recently authored a book for creative entrepreneurs like himself Right Brain Red: 7 Ideas for Creative Success.
Where do you get ideas/inspiration for your inventions?R: I guess I’m always asking if there is something that does _____?

A lot has changed since you first started working in this industry. What would you change with Twister and NERF Ball if they were being launched today?R: Nothing
You have worked on a lot of creative and interesting projects. Which project is closest to your heart and why?R: Winsor Learning is probably the most gratifying. We are helping at least 100 kids a day. find the excitement of being able to read.
What inspired you to co-found Winsor Learning?R: My wife and I and our five children learned that there are methods for overcoming dyslexia
Which qualities of yours’ have helped you become successful in your roles as inventor, entrepreneur and philanthropist?R: I am dyslexic and had to find alternative approaches to solving problems
What learning challenges did you face during your growing years? How did you overcome those challenges?R: I am dyslexic and had to find alternative approaches to solving problems.
What do you like to do when you are with your family/friends?R: Laugh and play games
What is your favorite place to visit? What do you like about that place?R: My studio/work-place. I get to work out and play with new ideas.
What tips/advice do you have for those in our community who are interested in inventing?R: Keep asking ourselves, “Is there a better way to do this?”
