How and when did you learn figure skating? When did you first perform for an audience?M: I started skating with my younger sisters when I was about 6 years old. I met a Special Olympics skater, and I wanted to skate like her. My coach created my solo program when I was 12. The first music was from Disney's Snow White.

What is your favorite dance move? How much time do you devote for practicing?M: I like lyrical/contemporary dance. I can express myself with beautiful music. I have 4 dance classes a week. (Ballet, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop) Hip Hop is new for me, and I am working hard for it.

Which is your own favorite art creation and why?M: I created an art piece named "Two Three Sisters - Reflection on ice (Felted wool)" I can see actual Three Sisters Mountains from my house in Canada. Now it is in Hong Kong for an art exhibition.

What is your favorite place to visit? What do you like about that place?M: Japan: My parents are from Japan, and I love to see my family there and to eat great Japanese food! Old temples are very beautiful.

What do you like to do when you are with your family?M: I love being with my sisters, but they are in university now. So I miss them a lot. Our family loves to travel. It's lots of fun!

Any special message for our community?M: My papa and mama are very creative and supportive to find what I like and what I am good at. I am very happy when people cheer me when I perform. Please see my abilities. I enjoy my life, even I don't like to get up in the morning!
