Teenaged entrepreneur with Down Syndrome setting an excellent example of determination and hard work
Wishes do come true with strong willpower and dedication. A young hardworking teenager girl with Down Syndrome fulfilled a wish to attend her favorite concerts by using her creative skills. She earned money for the concerts by making and selling bath bombs. Along with her online business and school Morgan also involves herself in various activities like Special Olympics, beauty pageants, music and many more. She proudly holds titles for Miss I Am Beautiful Delta Fair and Mississippi Miss Amazing Teen 2017. Morgan would like to follow in her sister's footsteps by attending Mississippi State University’s #ACCESS program. We wish Morgan all the success with her business and endeavors.
Can you tell us how you got the idea to start your business "Da Bombs by Morgan Tibbens"? What do you love about being an entrepreneur?M: I love country music and my parents said they would not pay for the front row seats and meet and greets anymore. I needed to get a job. After, shopping at a boutique with my mom we saw some bath bombs and i said I could do that. My mother and i worked on a recipe for over a month to get it right and it started from there. Why I love being a entrepreneur to show anyone that has a disability that you can do anything you put your mind to and put the handwork into. Oh and the concerts.
How do you usually get the idea for new products?M: a lot of our stores ask us if we can do an a certain product and we research it and try it or pintrest
What are your other hobbies?M: I love Blake Shelton so, I try to get tickets to see him. I love to cheer, swim, eat Mexican, text my friends, and hang out with my Best Buddies.
What is your favorite place to visit? What do you like about that place?M: Disney World. Seeing Mickey Mouse and rides
What do you like to do when you are with your friends/family?M: I love spending time with my family. We play games, watch movies, we cook as a family, I love to have sleep overs at my friends and hang out with them
