Young talented photographer with down syndrome celebrates achievements via world of photography
Twenty year old Oliver has been interested in photography since the age of ten. While honing his skill as a photographer, Oliver has not only made a name for himself but has also found it to boost his confidence and self-esteem. Photography has been the perfect medium for him to express his perception of the world. While Oliver dreams of being a professional landscape and wildlife photographer, he already receives orders for his brilliant prints from all over the world and has a tremendous following on Facebook. We want to applaud Oliver for his talents and confidence.
Can you tell us how and when did you start taking interest in photography?O: I was 9 or 10 and my Dad had a big camera - it was cool and I wanted to take cool pictures like him.
What is your favorite photograph so far and why?O: My bird pictures are my favourite - I like to catch them flying and make it sharp. I like my flying geese best and my heron and my swans in a heart shape for my mum.
What are your other hobbies?O: I like snooker and football and I like history and I LOVE cars
What is your favorite place to visit?O: Wales is my favourite and Scotland. We're going to America Tennesee in November so that will be cool.
What do you like to do when you are with your friends/family?O: I like to go off into the countryside and take nice food with us for a picnic. I like watching TV too and going fishing with my Dad and playing snooker with my Dad, and I like being with my Mum. I like having days out with my sister.
Any special message for our community?O: Do what you want to do - go on just do it!
