How did you get the idea to start your own jewelry making business? What is your favorite part of being an entrepreneur?J: I got the idea to start my jewelry business from a 4th grade project called dreams to jobs. My favorite part of being an entrepreneur is meeting people and getting to know them better.
Can you describe the process involved in designing jewelry? Which of your designs do you like the most and why?J: First you get out the string. Then you pick out the beads and you make a pattern. Then you start stringing the beads after you have made the pattern. Once you are finished stringing the beads and have made a pattern then you tie the two ends of string together. Tada you're done! I like the three bead pattern with a center piece because it's my most popular design and it sells the most.
How much help did you get from your parents for your business? What is the thing you like most about your family?J: I get quite a lot of help from my parents but I am capable of doing most of it on my owm. For example my mom is my job coach. I like how my family cares for me and always shows kindness and love and tlc towards me.
Can you tell us more about the “Dreams to Jobs” project? How are you raising awareness for Autism?J: I don't really remember much about the dreams to jobs project but what I do remember is that in my original business plan my prices were under 5 dollars. (Not going to happen now LOL!!!) I do many Autistic fundraisers and other events that raise Autism Awareness and Acceptance for Autism and people with other disabilites.
Who is your inspiration?J: My inspiration is my parents
What are your other hobbies?J: My other hobbies are video games and making friends.
What is your favorite place to visit?J: I like to visit the library.
What do you like to do when you are with your family?J: When I am with my family I like to go out to eat.
What do you want to be when you grow up?J: I am going to expand my jewelry business so that I can make a lot of money and support my parents when they grow older.
Any special message for our community?J: My special message for the community is that if someone ever has a dream don't hesitate to follow your dreams and make it come dream.
