Fascination of different shapes and colors drew Joshua closer to miraculous world of art. His great observation of collaging brilliant colors and interesting shapes resulted in wonderful eye-catching paintings. Joshua’s colorful vibrant work is exhibited in several places like Lehigh Regional Medical Center, Barron Park House Gallery and many other places. Catalina his mom has answered on Joshua's behalf.

What do you like about art? How did you learn to paint so beautifully?J: Joshua loves the different colors and shapes. Joshua didn’t know he could paint until his freshman year in High School. He had to decided between Art and PE. He decided on Art because he is not very athletic. His aid Lisa Funderburg and Art teacher Ms. Audrey Yow introduced him to the Art of Collage. It seemed to be a natural . Combining colors and shapes is interesting to him.

What is your favorite art creation so far and why?J:  Joshua doesn’t have a favorite. He like them all. He is very proud of his work.

Who Is your favorite artist? Which of his/her artwork do you like the most?J: He doesn’t have one just yet.

How do you feel when people admire your art? What is the best compliment you have received so far?J:  Its make Joshua feel accomplished and self worth. The best compliment is when people ask him at what college did he study Art. Joshua was part of an exhibition last year. Most of the artiste where Graduates and Under Graduates students. Joshua gets compliments on the perception of his art and his combination and coordination of color.

What kind of drawings are presently in your collection? How do you get ideas for what to draw?J: Joshua work is mainly abstract collage made with recyclable paper and acrylic paint. He also does this Splatter Technique. Watching Joshua work is truly amazing. He works like he has seen this painting before, he doesn’t hesitate. He know exactly where each piece goes and what colors he will be using. He knows when he is finished with it too.

Who is your favorite celebrity an why?J: Joshua loves music I would have to say Adele the singer is one of his favorites. He loves all kinds of music. But I have to say he really likes female singers.

What are your other hobbies?J:  Joshua loves to listen to music. He really likes outdoor activities. He likes going for walks, riding his bike. Always asking dad to go fishing. He like family gatherings. He also like to travel. He likes road trips.

What is your favorite place to visit?J: Joshua favorite place to visit is Texas.

What do you like to do when you are with your family?J:  Joshua like to invite family over and Bar-Ba-Que. Yes that’s what Joshua loves. He likes to entertain his younger cousins.

Any special message for our community?J: Joshua has had a lot of obstacles in his life. Diagnoised with Autism and Epilepsy at the age of two he has had a lot of medical and behavioral issues. Joshua has faced those obstacles and accepted the challenge. Joshua message to the community would be never give up believe in yourself accept the challenge!!
