When were you first fascinated by Art? What do you admire in art?J: I’ve been attracted to cartoon art since I was about 3 years old. I was an obsessed fan of the Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise, and always admired its cartoony, fast-paced action.

Which is your favorite piece of work and why?J: There are many different art forms I enjoy, such as drawings, music, and film. It’s very difficult to choose a favorite however, because I’m discovering new works every day.

What was the idea behind “Technologically Diverse” drawing?J: The idea of this piece was to show that it doesn’t matter how music is created, whether it be through a traditional instrument, or a computer. They can both be used to create beautiful pieces.

Can you tell us more about your team “Jayson’s Giants”?J: Jayson’s Giants is a team I created as my Bar Mitzvah project to raise money for Autism Speaks. My family and I participated in the walk in South Florida and raised over $1,000.

You have donated a lot of your art to various charities. Can you tell us more about it?J: Every chance I get, I donate my artwork to organizations that help people with disabilities. It is my way of contributing to make the world a better place.

Who is your inspiration?J: My biggest inspiration was my cartooning teacher, the late Al Baruch. He worked as an animator for Walt Disney, on many classic films, such as Peter Pan and Lady and the Tramp. He taught me many interesting techniques for designing characters, as well as making comics.

What are your other hobbies?J: My other hobbies include bowling, listening to music, and browsing the internet.

What is your favorite place to visit and why?J: Although I’ve traveled a bit with my family, I don’t really have a favorite place to visit In particular. It’s more about having new experiences with different people.

What do you like to do when you are with your friends?J: When I’m with my friends, we generally go out to eat or see movies.

Any special message for our community?J: Never give up on your dreams and goals.
