Art plays an important role in the happy and enriching life of talented artist Albert. He has been fascinated Since childhood with the paintings by classical artists, particularly Vincent Van Gogh. Albert’s artistic talent can be enjoyed in his original creations as well as his unique interpretations of Van Gogh's paintings. His family has encouraged him in his artistic journey and with the help of his mother Marlena, Albert has started his own business “Smeraldo Gallery” to sell his colorful merchandise. Albert also enjoys participating in art shows, pop-up markets and fundraisers.

What role does art play in your life?A: When I paint I feel relaxed, confident and happy.

Which is your own favorite creation? How long did it take you to finish that creation?A: My favorite creation is my interpretation of Vincent Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”. It took me about 4 hours to paint.

What challenges did you face during your school years? How did you face these challenges?A: My biggest challenge was paying attention. Having a schedule of breaks really helped me.

What are your other hobbies?A: I enjoy playing with my model toy train collection.

What do you like to do when you are with your family/friends?A: I like to go to restaurants and the movies with my family and friends.

What is your favorite place to visit? What do you love about that place?A: I love the beach. Enjoy the sun, swimming, sand castles and the waves crashing on me.

What tips/advice do you have for those in our community who are interested in pursuing their passions?A: Do what you love and grow with it.
